It was a bitter sweet day today, the last day of this
awesome internship opportunity. I was appointed to a start-up company, Mountain
Pass Solutions, to help them begin digital marketing for the product/service
they provide. So far, it has helped. According to the Cyfe boards, there was
really no place to go but up and it’s interesting to see the differences made.
We mainly were sticking with Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, none had been
used by the company before. We started getting on a track of posting multiple
updates on each account, with a link to the website for the reader to learn
more. Today, the CEO told us that someone from another similar company was
wondering if MPS would be interested in combining the companies together after
seeing Monday’s post on LinkedIn. I’m not sure if it’s going to be a for sure
combination, but it is quite interesting that our posts ARE playing a positive
role in getting this company known. Hopefully we have helped them to get that
goal of 10 more clients before the end of the year! This opportunity has greatly helped me learn a lot more about digital marketing, something that I know will help me currently and in the future. I plan to use these tools I've learned to help out my dad's company, as well as my current Etsy account, and possibly creating my own website, still deciding.
