Social Media Activity

Yesterday, we finally got active on their social media accounts. It was enjoyable putting posts on their profiles through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. We mainly just shared their logo as well as a link to their press release. On their LinkedIn post, they actually had 119 impressions and 3 engagements, with a slight decrease to 97 impressions today. They also had 20 clicks on Facebook, 1 follower on Twitter (although that account doesn't show up so it may be a spam account), and nothing new with Instagram. It was quite interesting seeing those stats. They also were having quite a few visits on to their website and the average time spent was about 6.5 minutes, so far, the most time spent.

Starting Inbound Marketing

I was looking forward to this week with Mountain Pass Solutions. We were given some research to do over the weekend of what would be helpful for the company's inbound (and some outbound) marketing, which we were supposed to start this week. On Monday, we were finishing up attaching social media accounts and the important parts of Google Analytics on Cyfe for an easier way of tracking our traffic. We were going to begin using their Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts. With the plan to share a link to their website and brief descriptions of what their software can offer, hoping to get a couple of clicks on specific pages of their website. We are also on the track of starting with their MailChimp account to send out emails as well as SurveyMonkey to hear from possible contenders what their preference and opinion is on software they have used and currently use. The creation of running a HootSuite account is in the works as well. Apparently, we were told yesterday that they were swamped with finishing up content and infrastructure. I believe that if they are able to achieve and complete it by the weekend, it will be a smooth sail to start using social media accounts to gain attention, next week. It will also be very interesting to see if their website is going to be updated with a much more user-friendly layout.

Completing Social Media Accounts

Today, we are finishing up adding small detail and perfecting all of the social media accounts we intend to use, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. We have also completed the Cyfe account, adding another dashboard strictly to keep track of Google Analytics and couple new social medias. Quite a few of the views for the page come from towns in Michigan, one, being Kingston. They clicked on our site 60+ times.
We are now getting ready to set up the Hootsuite account to be completely set and ready for Monday to begin the inbound marketing, running actively on social media accounts, as well as sending out various emails through Mailchimp. We are also currently in the process of working on surveys to send out to our target to see more in detail their interest and concerns.

Wedding Decorations for My Friend's Wedding

A little over a year ago, I was asked to be a bridesmaid at my friend's wedding, which was today! A few months back she asked me if I could make particular signs for decoration, and I was more than excited to follow through with it. Although there were only three signs to make, they were very fun and I put thought and care into making them. The first sign I made was a small chalkboard piece that says "Thanks for Popping in", this went along with the favors to the guests. The second piece I made was a hanging wood sign with a small list of the games they had set up for guests during cocktail hour. The last piece, which was my personal favorite, was on an older/aged wood pallet that had the schedule on it. This one took a while but I was very satisfied with the outcome. Here are a couple photos:

Further Research

This week, we were only able to go in for work on Wednesday (July 5th). We were given all of the colleges and universities in Michigan to research and "like" on Facebook, hopefully gaining attention from them to at least click on our page and learn what it is we could provide for them. So far, there have been two visits on to our Facebook page, which the intentions of that to help increase and at least gaining some likes. With LinkedIn, we had learned there isn't a way to follow colleges, there is only an option to follow 3. I believe we will have to post articles and links to our website to help gain more attraction and followers. We got news from the CEO that the College of Education at the University of Michigan has an interest in investing in SmartParth. We sent them a link to the website to run a demo on how to use the software and CV. Our next goal is to research and follow colleges outside of Michigan that are associated with medical programs.
